Barrins & Associates was pleased to once again attend the Joint Commission Consultants Forum in August at TJC headquarters in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. This invitational meeting has now become a twice-yearly event. This time, there were 10 consulting firms in attendance. We got the most up-to-date data and information on TJC survey trends and initiatives from Mark Pelletier, COO/Chief Nurse Executive. We also had the opportunity to provide input to the proposed new model for Intracycle Monitoring. It will be focused on high risk, systemic trends within accredited organizations — a promising new model! We will be sharing all the information we received at the Consultants Forum in upcoming issues of our newsletter, so stay tuned!
