Associate
David Shadle, PHR, SHRM-CP, is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of extensive experience in human resources and operations management and over 17 years as an executive in the behavioral health industry, specializing in compliance and clinical operations.
Since 2008, Mr. Shadle has been a member of the Hillside Executive Team at Atlanta, Georgia. Hillside, Inc. is one of Atlanta’s oldest non-profits, providing residential and community-based treatment to children and adolescents with high-risk mental or behavioral health needs. Here, he has served as the Human Resources Director and has been the Vice President of Human Resources for the last ~15 years.
Mr. Shadle has also served as a surveyor for Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF®) International for over 17 years. During this role, Mr. Shadle has reviewed and analyzed service delivery models, organizational policies, and outcomes to ensure adherence to accreditation requirements. He has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the holistic review of organizational practices and prepared comprehensive reports that summarized findings and offered actionable steps for quality enhancement and operational excellence. He has led multidisciplinary teams, driving towards, and ensures regulatory adherence across diverse healthcare environments. His expertise spans policy development, quality assurance, and patient-centered care, where he has implemented innovative strategies to enhance service delivery while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Throughout his career, Mr. Shadle has successfully overseen large-scale compliance initiatives, ensuring that all clinical practices align with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational objectives. His leadership in clinical operations has resulted in streamlined processes, improved patient outcomes, and the integration of evidence-based practices. His broad spectrum of expertise includes, but is not limited to: Substance Use Disorders, Mental Health, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Family Services, Integrated IDD/Mental Health, Comprehensive Care, Crisis Intervention & Stabilization, Detox/Withdrawal Management Inpatient & Outpatient, Day Treatment/Partial Hospitalization/Residential/Outpatient, Specialized or Treatment Foster Care, and Criminal Justice.
Mr. Shadle received his Bachelor of Business Administration, HR/Management from Georgia State University, has a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI), and is a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
