Dr. Stacey Shaw, DSW, LICSW, SUDP is a behavioral health consultant with more than 15 years of executive leadership and clinical experience across inpatient, outpatient, and substance use disorder treatment settings. She specializes in behavioral health operations, regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and clinical program development, helping organizations strengthen quality, improve performance, and achieve sustainable regulatory success.

Dr. Shaw has held executive leadership roles overseeing behavioral health operations, compliance, and clinical services across multi-state healthcare organizations. Her experience includes leading Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulatory surveys, developing policies and procedures, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and guiding organizations through complex regulatory requirements. She is recognized for leading exceptional survey outcomes, including the most successful accreditation survey in her organization’s history while overseeing compliance across multiple states.

Prior to joining Barrins & Associates, Dr. Shaw served as Vice President of Compliance and Vice President of Washington for Northpoint Recovery, where she led compliance strategy, operational performance, and program expansion. She also served as Director of Clinical Services at Smokey Point Behavioral Hospital, overseeing multidisciplinary clinical teams, behavioral health programs, and regulatory readiness.

Dr. Shaw’s experience also includes service with the Department of Defense at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, where she supported Army behavioral health programs, helped implement an integrated behavioral health model combining mental health and substance use services, and served as Assistant Director of the Army Social Work Internship Program.

Known for her collaborative approach and practical problem-solving, Dr. Shaw partners with behavioral health organizations to strengthen compliance programs, improve clinical operations, and enhance patient care. Her areas of expertise include behavioral health operations, substance use disorder treatment, regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, policy development, performance improvement, and clinical program implementation.

She earned a Doctor of Social Work from the University of Tennessee, a Master of Social Work from the University of South Florida, and bachelor’s degrees in Social Work and Criminology from the University of South Florida. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP), and holds multiple advanced addiction and behavioral health certifications.
