Associate

Terryl Kendricks, RN, MSN is a healthcare consultant with extensive executive leadership experience in accreditation, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and clinical operations. She partners with healthcare organizations to strengthen survey readiness, improve operational performance, and build sustainable cultures of quality and patient safety.
 
Ms. Kendricks served as a Joint Commission Surveyor for more than a decade, conducting accreditation surveys for hospitals and health systems nationwide. Her expertise includes Joint Commission standards, CMS Conditions of Participation, high reliability principles, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement. She is recognized for helping healthcare leaders identify opportunities for improvement, mitigate regulatory risk, and implement practical strategies that support long-term success.
 
Prior to her surveying career, Ms. Kendricks served as Chief Nursing Officer for a 320-bed tertiary care hospital, where she led nursing operations, quality, patient safety, and strategic initiatives. Under her leadership, the organization achieved Magnet® designation, earned multiple specialty certifications, expanded clinical services, improved workforce retention, and advanced patient, physician, and employee satisfaction. She also previously served as Vice President of Quality Management, overseeing accreditation, physician peer review, credentialing, and regulatory compliance.
 
Ms. Kendricks is known for her collaborative leadership style and ability to align regulatory requirements with operational excellence. Her areas of expertise include accreditation readiness, CMS compliance, executive coaching, high reliability, patient safety, quality improvement, clinical operations, and leadership development.
 
She earned a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Chapman College and completed the Johnson & Johnson Nurse Executive Fellows Program at the Wharton School of Business.
