Expands Regulatory Compliance Capabilities into Behavioral Healthcare
Healthcare Building Solutions, LLC, (HBS) announced the acquisition of Barrins & Associates, a nationally recognized consulting firm specializing in accreditation and regulatory compliance consulting for the behavioral healthcare industry.
HBS is a single-source consultancy offering equipment planning, transition planning, facility activation/logistic services, and accreditation and regulatory compliance assistance for healthcare, science, and higher education facilities. HBS is a platform investment of Latticework Capital Management, a Dallas-based private equity firm focused on partnering with entrepreneurially minded management teams to build leading healthcare companies.
“We are very excited to add Barrins & Associates’ deep bench of behavioral healthcare expertise to our Accreditation and Regulatory Service Line offerings,” shares Jay Hornung, ACHE, CHFM, President and CEO of HBS. “This acquisition, combined with our acquisition of Patton Healthcare Consulting earlier this year, confirms our status as one of the leading providers of regulatory compliance services in the healthcare industry.”
“I’ve had the opportunity to work with Barrins & Associates on multiple projects over the years,” adds Jennifer Cowel, RN, MHSA, President of HBS’ Accreditation and Regulatory Service Line. “Their team includes former surveyors with extensive experience leading successful regulatory compliance programs for behavioral healthcare organizations. Their expertise allows us to expand our regulatory service line to additional behavioral healthcare organizations.”
“Joining HBS affords us additional resources to continue serving the behavioral healthcare industry as we’ve done for the past 23 years,” adds Anne Barrins, MS, CSW, President and CEO of Barrins & Associates. “We look forward to the opportunities and synergy that this affiliation brings.”
HBS offers a comprehensive suite of services that facilitates the design, development, delivery, and activation of new projects and ensures regulatory, operational, and safety compliance in existing facilities. HBS’ planning, clinical, technical, and regulatory expertise supports capital initiatives allowing organizations to focus on their primary business mission.
